Best Early Game Range Builds in Armored Core 6 (AC6)

Use these builds to snipe them from afar!

Armored Core 6 features the most expansive Mech customization options I have ever seen. Scores of parts made by different manufacturers vary by weight, price, and—most importantly—the role they're made for. At first, I found the Mech customizations overwhelming, but they allowed me to make effective builds for all types of encounters. In this guide, we will dive deeper into the ranged builds for the early game portion of Armored Core 6.

A lightweight Mech build utilizes ranged firepower to outspeed and take down multiple opponents, which is exactly what you'll get with this early-game loadout. I used MG-014 Ludlow Akimbo to take out small and fast-moving targets, ensuring I had plenty of ammunition to spare. Two missile launchers on the back provide heavier support, and you can also multi-target crowds of trash mobs if you feel overwhelmed.

The body of this medium-weight build features a heavy Melander frame, providing enough AP to stand up to most demanding bosses, while the quadruped legs enable you to fire while hovering in the air. I also added a dual-missile launcher and a vertical missile launcher on the shoulder mounts to provide versatility, while carrying the Ludlow MG for trash mobs and the grenade launcher in the left hand for tougher opponents.

The most significant characteristic of this heavy variant of the ranged early game build is forgoing traditional legs in favor of the Bornemissza tank-threaded platform, eliminating most overburdening issues. The shoulder mounts receive a Laser Canon upgrade for boss-level targets, with a Plasma grenade launcher to remove their shields. The right hand gets an upgrade from the Ludlow MG into a DF-GA-08 Chaingun, while the left gets a Pulse gun, ensuring diversity and firepower.
