How to Defeat the Ice Worm Boss in Armored Core 6

Bring down the Worm!

Apart from the first boss fights against AH12 Helicopter, one of the most challenging battles in the Armored Core 6 campaign is against the Ice Worm boss. A frustrating fight, the boss constantly goes in and out of the ground and has two strong shields. To defeat the Ice Worm Boss in Armored Core 6, you must equip the unique VE - 60SNA armor and try to shoot at its head area.

To bring down the Ice Worm Boss in Armored Core 6, equip the loadout below and follow the given tips and tricks.

Loadout

Since the Iceworm boss inflicts a lot of AOE-type attacks, it is best to go for a tanky-style build. You can use my loadout for the battle or equip any similar one. But for the Right Back Unit, you'll definitely want to attach the VE-60SNA Stun Needle Launcher. Equip the Anti-Ice Worm you received before the battle for combat, as it is the only weapon capable of stunning the creature. If you enter the mission without using it, you will be taunted by your allies and handlers for not bringing an essential tool.

Attack Strategy

To eliminate the Ice Worm Boss in Armored Core 6, you must break both of its Shields. Once the battle begins, the worm will go in and out of the ground. After emerging, aim towards its rusty head and shoot with your VE-60SNA Stun Needle Launcher. It takes some time to charge, so wait for it to emerge from the ground and time your attack. If you manage to hit, you will deplete its primary shield (you can find the shield bar above its health bar). Next, your ally will shoot using the Rail Cannon to remove the second shield.

Immediately, the worm will fall to the ground and be stunned. Go near the worm and unload all the rockets, missiles, and grenades at your disposal. Make sure to even your melee blade attack at its face to tick off of health.

Repeat this process three to four times to bring down the creature and proceed to the next level.

Defense Strategy

The first thing you should be mindful of while fighting Ice Worm is not to go near it unless it is stunned—merely standing near him will deal a lot of damage and deplete your health. You can track the position of the Ice Worm by the red indicator icon, which accurately informs you on the location the Ice Worm will emerge from.

While fighting, the Ice Worm will launch a red-colored AOE-type attack. Initially, you will take a lot of damage from this move, but with time, you can easily dodge it, as it usually occurs after the boss is stunned.

Throughout the battle, maintain distance from the beast and continuously keep moving. For health, use each unit Repair Kit (three units) after stuning the Ice Worm.
