Are there non-lethal takedowns in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Can you spare your targets?

I'm a huge fan of stealth games, especially ones with the option to perform non-lethal takedowns. Ghosting through levels in Dishonored was my favorite, and as a result, I was looking forward to playing a non-lethal assassin in Assassin's Creed Mirage. However, I wasn't sure if AC Mirage would allow me to play non-lethally, taking out enemies but still leaving them alive. Let's find out if Assassin's Creed Mirage has non-lethal assassinations through skills or tools.

Can you do non-lethal takedowns in Assassin's Creed Mirage (AC Mirage)?

In short, the answer is no. Once you progress to an assassin of the Hidden Ones and earn your Hidden Blade, you can no longer do non-lethal takedowns. To put it another way, you can only perform non-lethal takedowns while Basim is a street thief; when you return to Baghdad, your only option is to assassinate your target.

How to unlock the Blowdart in Assassin's Creed Mirage

However, you can eventually unlock a Sleeping Dart tool. With the Sleeping Dart, you can take enemies down from afar non-lethally, knocking them unconscious. You are then free to pick up their body and hide them out of sight. Here is how to get the Blowdart in AC Mirage.

  • Progress through the main story until Abu Jafar Muhammad gives it to you.
  • Go to a a Musa Bureau.
  • Select Unlock Tools.
  • Select the Blowdart.
  • Equip the Blowdart.

Sadly, if you wanted to be a non-lethal assassin and favor stealth and thieving, you'll need to avoid combat as much as possible. Unless you have a massive supply of sleeping darts, you'll be spending a lot of time avoiding enemies if you plan to go non-lethal. So, you may just need to accept it and get your hands bloody in Assassin's Creed Mirage.
