Finding treasure and unique items is one of the most rewarding parts of Baldur's Gate 3. However, some items like the Charred Key have hidden uses that aren't explained in-game. Luckily, we at PGG have everything you need to know about Baldur's Gate 3 Charred Key, detailed below.
How to get the BG3 Charred Key
To get the Charred Key in Baldur's Gate 3, players must loot a dead body located inside the Hidden Passage below the Druid Grove. Before looting the dead body, players must disarm traps and defeat a gang of goblins. After a short battle, players can disable the traps depending on where they entered the Hidden Passage. If you entered the Hidden Passage from the Hidden Grove, press the Rune of Bear and Rune of Eagle if you entered through the forest. You can find both the Rune of Bear and Rune of Eagle shown below:
Once you deactivate either rune trap, you can find the Charred Key on the body marked with a red box below. To get to the body with the key, jump across using the jump ability, but watch out for the trap. The trap will start firing missiles at you as soon as you jump across, so you must deactivate it fast. Players can disable the trap by pressing the button marked with a green box below.
How to use the Charred Key in BG3
