BG3 Character Builder – Tools for Creating Builds

The beginning of a game is usually the longest part for me, mostly because I spend so long creating my character. Baldur's Gate 3 had me locked at the character creation screen, as I was so torn on what character I would make and what build I would play. Not all options were available at the start, so it made it more difficult to determine what I wanted to play. However, there are character builders can let you build your ideal character before jumping into the game.

This is probably the best Baldur's Gate 3 character builder to use when deciding on what character to make and play. This tool has been created by SmokkeHearb and shared via Reddit. Can you use the Baldur's Gate 3 Character Builder for Multi-classing?

When the character builder first launched, it lacked the ability to create multi-class builds. However, after updating, you can now theory craft multi-class builds for Baldur's Gate 3. If you aren't sure what multi-class build to play, check out some of our suggestions below.

Can you Respec in Baldur's Gate 3?

Baldur's Gate 3 provided a nifty way to respec (which is handy in conjunction with the above tool). To do so, you must discover Withers in the Dank Crypt. After freeing him from his slumber and the sarcophagus, he can be found at your camp. For some gold, he will allow you to respec any character, changing their class and build at whim.

I recommend experimenting and not being afraid to change up your companions either; I changed Shadowheart's subclass to Light Domain to get some extra firepower without sacrificing healing and support. If you made a similar change and wanted to revert it, just head to Withers and respec once more.
