Game Modes

The fundamental Game Modes available in Battlefield Portal are:

  • Conquest Large

The first three modes mentioned above can be tailored using predefined modifiers. FFA and TDM can also be customized using the Rules Editor in Battlefield Portal.

Details Modifier

In addition to this, players can also customize other in-game settings via the Game Mode Details Modifier. This will help change the basic and core rules of the Game Mode you are building.

The available settings will differ based on the Game Mode and core ruleset. For instance, if your mode is set on the Conquest ruleset, you can change the maximum number of human players, among other settings.

Game Mode Details featured in Rush and Conquest modes are as follows:

  • Maximum Human Players
  • Game Time
  • Squad Spawn Type
  • Per Squad Character Limit
  • Reinforcements Removed Per Kill
  • Reinforcement Multiplier

In TDM, and FFA - you won’t need to edit all of the same options, so you’ll see a more streamlined set of sliders, toggles, and menus that focus on what makes the most sense for those modes. If you want to mix things up further, the Rules Editor will be the place to go.

Battlefield News

The second stage of the Builder, Modifiers, offers several other customizable settings, including—Gameplay, Soldier, and AI. This will help personalize the Portal Game Mode you are creating even further.
