The M5A3 Assault Rifle is one of the first weapons you unlock in Battlefield 2042. It is an easy-to-use gun and has good range, fire rate, and accuracy. You can customize it to your liking by referring to the two different M5A3 loadouts depicted in this guide.

Here are the best M5A3 attachments for an accurate, long-range build:

• Sight - TV 2x
• Ammunition - High-Power or Standard Issue / Extended Mag
• Underbarrel - Cobra Grip
• Barrel - Extended Barrel

For the optic, you can use any preferred one from the available 14 options. TV 2x is a good choice, but you may equip the Raven 4x for extra magnification. High-Power ammunition helps by significantly increasing the range of the M5A3.

It does, however, reduce the recoil control, reload speed, and rate of fire, all of which is acceptable since we're building a mid to long-range loadout. You can instead use the Extended Mag, which has neither the cons nor the pros—it simply adds more bullets to your magazine.

The Cobra Grip helps with accuracy when you are not strafing. Finally, the Extended Barrel extends the bullet velocity so that your shots hit the target quicker.

The Close Combat magazine is the best option for close-quarters combat as it boosts the fire rate and reload speed of the AR. Equip the BCG Grip for improved accuracy while strafing. You can also use another situational underbarrel mod, such as Masterkey, which makes your weapon a Shotgun hybrid.
