Players can unlock the MCS-880 Utility Shotgun at level 7 in Battlefield 2042. It is one of the very few Shotguns featured in the game at launch. Furthermore, you can tailor it to your needs and fit your playstyle in the loadout.
Here's how you can build the perfect MCS-880 Pump Action Shotgun loadout from the limited number of attachments available for this weapon.
Best MCS-880 Loadout Battlefield 2042
- Sight - Iron Sights
- Ammunition - #4 Buckshot
- Underbarrel - LS-1 Laser Sight
- Barrel - Factory Barrel
These are the best MCS-880 attachments to use for a close-quarters combat dominator build. Although the Iron Sights are great on the weapon, you may swap it for the Fusion Holo optic. Both of these sights have no downsides whatsoever.
The available ammunition attachments for the Shotgun are extremely situational. We recommend using the #4 Buckshot for bonus reload speed and fire rate. Keep in mind that this will reduce the damage range. Other good ammunition options include:
- Slug Shell - For extended damage range.
- #01 Buckshot - Standard ammo that comes with no pros or cons.
The LS-1 Laser underbarrel tightens the hip-fire spread of the weapon. You can skip this attachment if you want your shots to spread out while hip-firing. However, the probability of you one-shot killing enemies will reduce significantly.
You have only two available options for the barrel—Factory Barrel and Type 4 Heavy Suppressor. Factory Barrel performs well in most cases. Instead, you can use the Suppressor for sound suppression and no minimap visibility while shooting.
But the Type 4 Suppressor comes with a major downside, i.e., reduced effective range. Go for it if you like the pros and can handle the disadvantages. Remember that combing Suppressor with the #4 Buckshot isn't advisable since the range efficacy will be hurt badly.
