If you want to indulge in the entire four-day experience, you'll need to pre-order the game to obtain early access from October 6-7. The beta and preload are available to all players, across all platforms, but those who have not pre-ordered will have to wait until October 8-9 for their access. Pre-orders are available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
After a delay to the open beta, EA and DICE's First Person Shooter, Battlefield 2042, will finally be unveiled to the public. This highly anticipated open beta will simultaneously launch across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on October 6 and run through October 9, but starting October 5 players can preload the open beta.

Players who participate in the beta will have access to Conquest mode, which will feature new tweaks. EA answered fan questions in a piece where they broke down many features of the game. The changes to Conquest mode revealed a shift in focus from flag chasing from sector to sector. Players instead will establish a foothold in each sector and will only move forward once that entire sector has fallen.
Also available in the beta is an intense new map named Orbital, where players will battle in massive storms among a giant launching rocket.
DICE announced a five-week delay for the game's release date earlier this month, citing the desire to create the best experience for players. The wait won't be too excruciating for players who cannot enjoy the beta; Battlefield 2042 will officially launch on November 19, 2021, and is available now for pre-order on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.
