How to become a Music Producer in BitLife
Before going ahead, the Music Producer is part of the Boss Mode, which costs around $20.99 (US Price). Purchase it to access the Music Producer Special Career under the Jobs tab.
To start, you cannot become a Music Producer if you are not able to play an instrument. As soon as you turn 5, ask your parents to enroll you in a Music class. To do this, click the Mind & Body tab, then choose Instruments. Pick any Instruments of your choice and attend at least once each year before aging up. By the time you reach 18, you will master the Instruments, and your Skill rating will reach close to 100%. Also, I recommend learning the MIDI Instrument over others. Why? Well, the Audio Company usually prefers MIDI players during the interview process.
Post 18 years of age, click on the Jobs tab and go to the Special Career section. Here, select the Music Producer option and apply to a label with a low rating. A label with a low rating usually has a very high chance of hiring you, compared to a higher-rated label, due to the lack of experience. So, start with that. How to Produce Track in BitLife
The primary role of a Music Producer is to make beats for your Label and rake in Profits. To start, press the Produce Track button. Now, pick any artist of your choice who has signed with your company. The next step is to create a sample based on the singer's strengths.
If the singer has a country vibe, try to produce a good country song with country subject, lyrics, and even beats. Everything should be picked based on the theme of your music + the singer's Vibe. If you do this, the Label will accept the Sample, and you can make a hit Music Track. Otherwise, they will reject your Sample as too experimental.
How to Score Music for a Movie or Game in BitLife
To make music for a movie or game in BitLife, click on the Score Production option under the Music Producer Activities tab. Now, your Label will take up a project related to a film or video game. You will get details about the project, the type of music they are looking for, and the commission you can earn. If you like the project, accept it; if not, look for other stuff.
After taking up a project, you need to submit a concept. The tune you make should align with the idea to convince them and receive the commission. For the sake of the guide, let us take up a project called "Once Upon a Time in Burbank," which requires you to create a Sorrow Theme.
For the Sorrow Theme, you can use something like the following to get approval.
- Main Instrument: Cello, Acoustic Guitar,
- Background Instrument: Double Bass, French Horn
- BPM: 50 to 70
Similarly, for Patriotism, you can choose a trumpet, for something like magical/fantasy, a Harp would be the best. If you are not that impressed with the quality of singers available in your company, you can use the Talent Scout option to find new singers. After selecting the option, you can choose any Event you like and attend it to find new singers. When looking for new singers, consider two factors: high voice quality and matching vibes. The quality helps you produce better songs, while the vibe enables you to determine whether they are compatible with your Label. Also, when picking Events, check that the genre matches your Label and that the Talent and Venue Quality are promising. Once you have found a Talent, pitch to your Label with their true identity, or give them a slight makeover with a new Stage Name and genre. Remember, you can only pitch one Talent per year. So, be careful while selecting the Talent.
How to promote an Artist at a Club in BitLife
The final step in the life of a Music Producer is to promote your content. To start, choose the Takeover Club option. Then select the artist you want to push and pick a Club. While picking the artist, ensure they have at least 1 or 2 Tracks with good popularity. Otherwise, the Club will always turn down the offer, and you can never make money. Keep doing this, and the popularity will continue to increase, and you will rake in a lot of money the following year.
