Keyboard and Mouse players of Bleak Faith: Forsaken will have no trouble jumping as soon as they start the game. Players have a few options for Controller use and getting used to jumping, but by default, the jump option is set to happen automatically. While there aren't many areas where jumping is required, it does help with the very first boss of the game. Area of effect attacks can be difficult to dodge entirely, but jumping gives the option of avoiding them completely. This is how to Jump and how to assign Jump in Bleak Faith: Forsaken.
How jumping works in Bleak Faith Forsaken
For players using Mouse and Keyboard to go through Bleak Faith: Forsaken, the Alt key will allow them to jump. For everyone else, however, they will have to use one of three different options. When climbing, this means players can use the same input they have to roll to climb up, and when in front of a gap, they can press the same input to jump. Three options are available in the controls menu, Avoidance Automatic, Avoidance Consistent, and having a dedicated button input.

Both Avoidance Automatic and Avoidance Consistent function similarly, making it so jumping is done only under certain circumstances. Rather than assigning Jump to a button and overriding a different command, players can instead use their Modifier to turn their rolls into jumps. This is done by holding L2 on PlayStation controllers or LT on Xbox controllers and their roll input to jump instead. By default this is:
- PlayStation - L2 + X
- Xbox - LT + A
