Breakwaters is an adventure-action game that features an ever-changing ocean that is set to release in early access on November 11, 2021. One feature that makes this game unique is the player's ability to control and shape the water that makes up the world. They can move the water and build boats to sail the ocean as they try to survive against massive Titans.
Players may be wondering if they have to do this alone or enlist the help of a friend. Breakwaters will feature an online co-op allowing friends to play together and shape its oceanic world. Players and their friends can work together to survive in this world or play alone if that is their preference.
Developer Soaring Pixel Games has only confirmed online multiplayer, so it is unknown if players can do split-screen multiplayer. Breakwaters will first release in early access, so depending on the demand, they may implement this feature if it already isn't in the works.
Having a companion to play with typically makes a game more fun and leads to crazy situations. Friends can turn to foe in the blink of an eye if they decide to hinder your progress rather than help. Incorporating online co-op into a game like Breakwaters will surely make it more interesting.
