Bottom Of The Barrel DMZ Mission Guide

Find the locked room keypad and research documents here!

Bottom Of The Barrel is a Tier 3 mission for the Crown faction in Call of Duty: Warzone DMZ. In this mission, you're tasked to trade an item with the Shopkeeper to receive the passcode for a secret locked room. You then need to extract a piece of intel from this room.

How to complete the Bottom Of The Barrel Crown Mission in DMZ

Here are the objectives for Bottom Of The Barrel:

  1. Trade the Shopkeeper a bottle of liquor in exchange for the keycode.
  2. Enter the code into the locked room keypad at the Alpha Cluster entrance.
  3. Extract the Research Documents from the room.

Items required for the mission

  • Liquor: You need one Liquor bottle that you can trade at the shop. You can acquire it from fridges and medicine cabinets inside restaurants, houses, and other buildings.
  • Factory Admin Key: Found inside the dark Chemical Plant area, this key allows you to unlock the Factory section of Koschei Complex where the Shopkeeper is.
  • Car Battery and Jumper Cable: These two items are required to access the Alpha Cluster section in Koschei Complex. You can easily find it inside gas stations and warehouses.

Where to trade the Shopkeeper a bottle of liquor

Firstly, deploy into Al Mazrah and start looking for a bottle of Liquor, a Car Battery, and Jumper Cables. Once you've acquired these three items, you can then proceed to any of the four Koschei Complex entrances. I'd suggest entering the bunker via the airlock closest to you.

After solving the entrance puzzle inside Koschei Complex, you'll arrive at the Chemical Plant area. This is where you should equip Night Vision Goggles or NVGs to be able to see properly. Now, look for the Factory Admin Key in the area and start moving in the north direction until you come across bunker doors A/1 or A/2 (see image below).

Inside the airlock, insert the Factory Admin Key into the lock next yellow door, and the entrance to the Factory section will unlock. Locate the Shopkeeper's room via the symbol marked on a wooden board. At the Shopkeeper's, you'll find a dead drop bin in between the two buy stations. Deposit the Liquor bottle into this dead drop, and the Shopkeeper will drop a document with a three-digit code on it.

Where to find the locked room keypad in the Alpha Cluster entrance

Pick up the code and go back to the Chemical Plant area. Once again, use your NVGs to navigate to the south end of Koschei Complex until you find the bunker doors C/1 or C/2. These entrances lead to the Alpha Cluster, and to unlock them, you need to place a Car Battery and Jumper Cables into the board in between the two bunker doors.

Once the power is back on, enter via door C/1 and approach the first room on your left. Interact with the keypad to enter the access code, i.e., the three digits on the document you traded from the Shopkeeper. This will open the locked room that you can access for the next step in the mission.

The Russian Gas Research Documents you need to extract should be placed on a table (see image). I suggest you take the exfil elevator inside the Alpha Cluster as it'll be less risky than the one inside the Chemical Plant.
