How to run scan and repair on Warzone

The first fix we recommend trying is to repair your game files. In short, corrupted game files are a common cause of Error 6036 in Warzone, so you must run the Scan and Repair option on the Battle.net launcher. To run Scan and Repair, locate Call of Duty Warzone on the Battle.net launcher and click the gear icon next to the Play button.

Under the drop-down list that will appear afterward, you can find the option to Scan and Repair. Run Scan and Repair and let it download any files that may be missing. After the download finishes, try relaunching Warzone and see if you get the Error 6036 again.

How to disable shadows in Warzone

Certain GPUs can often have problems running shadows in games like Warzone. Not being able to run shadows is also often a cause for Error 6036. Because of this, we recommend turning off the following options in-game to get rid of Error 6036:

  • Cache Spot Shadows
  • Cache Sun Shadows

You can find both options listed above inside the Graphics tab under Options in Warzone.
