Players may notice a lot of packet burst notifications while playing multiplayer in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Packet burst occurs when the game is overloaded with data input or has bad connectivity.
To fix packet burst in Call of Duty: Vanguard, go to Settings, move to the Graphics tab, scroll to the bottom and turn On-Demand Texture Streaming off. On-Demand Texture Streaming improves color quality of the game by downloading textures from the Internet while playing. Although it improves graphics, the consistent downloading can cause packet loss.

If the problem persists, make sure to check the Internet connection and test your network connection with the console or PC. It is recommended to use an Ethernet cable to connect to a router, if possible. Another recommendation is to enable the Connection Meter in the Settings. This will track real-time packet loss during games so you can see exactly when the problems occur.
To enable the Connection Meter: go to Settings, move to the Account & Network tab, and scroll down to Connection Meter. Then flip to Shown.
Packet burst can also be caused by issues with servers. The Call of Duty: Vanguard servers are dedicated to each mode including multiplayer and Zombies, so server issues should not be very frequent, but players can check the server status on the Activision Online Services Support site.
