How to perform a Finishing Move in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Finish them!

Finishing Moves can be used to kill your opponent with one hit and a little flair. To perform a Finishing Move: press and hold Melee when standing directly behind an opponent. Melee is click Right Stick on Xbox, R3 on PlayStation, and the E or 4 key on PC, if default controller settings or keybinds have not been changed.

Each Operator has 2 Finishing Moves at launch. One Finishing move is default, and the other must be unlocked by reaching Operator Level 17.

Finishing Moves can be interrupted, so it is important to time your kill well and use stealth or speed to get behind an opponent. Finishing Moves are great for killing an opponent without using bullets or having to use a couple of melee hits. There are a few of challenges that require Finishing Moves, including unlocking Japanese Task Force Shadow Operator Shigenori by performing 25 Finishing Moves.
