The long-awaited Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 has arrived at last and has brought us many gifts to tear through. Besides the inclusion of new weapons and maps, we've also got access to a particularly quirky new mode called Cranked that involves exploding on a regular basis. If you are curious as were about how to play Cranked in Modern Warfare 2, well then you've come to the right place. Here's everything you need to know.
What is Cranked in MW2 Multiplayer?
Cranked is Team Deathmatch with an explosive twist. You see, while the game starts as any ordinary TDM (Team Deathmatch) game does, the moment you score a kill, you'll become cranked. A timer will appear on your HUD, and it will begin ticking down from 30. Every time you score a kill, you restart the timer. If the timer ever reaches zero, however, you explode. As such, Cranked as a Game Mode is about scoring as many skills as possible between that 30-second window.

Tips for winning Cranked in MW2
The key to winning Cranked is the same as normal TDM: score kills, and win the game. However, when you're under the cranked status, you'll move faster and aim faster, thus making the status actually a good thing to have. Camping is not encouraged because if you score a kill and no others between 30 seconds, you'll just die without acomplishing anything or making use of the postive effects that come with being cranked.
Cranked is about maintaining the cranked status for as long as you possibly can due to the buffs it gives you, giving you a huge advantage over anyone else that isn't cranked. Doing so over your enemy will earn you a definitive victory.
