How to use the Mortar Barrage in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Call in the mortars!

The Mortar Barrage is a powerful killstreak that only requires five kills to use. However, many players may be confused about how to deploy it or where they can place it. To deploy the Mortal Barrage, equip it with the Right Directional Pad on PlayStation and Xbox, press 3 on PC (if no other killstreak is available).

Placing the Mortar Barrage is where it gets troublesome. To deploy the Mortar Barrage, press the Fire button. It seems simple, but the Mortar Barrage can only be placed in very open spaces and still fails to deploy frequently.

Players should also be aware that the Mortar Barrage has roughly the throwing range of a Demolition Charge, so players cannot throw it very far at all.

On top of being difficult to deploy and not having much range, if you attempt to deploy the Mortar Barrage in an invalid spot, it will be unequipped and have to be pulled out again.

In response to many players' calls, the killstreak needs to be fixed, but for now, your best bet is to use it in an open area near enemies or an objective point. It may be a hassle to deploy, but the Mortar Barrage can lock down an area and kill lots of enemies.

The Mortar Barrage is unlocked at Level 30, so players will have plenty of time to try out other killstreaks to see how they stack up. Call of Duty: Vanguard killstreaks are pretty powerful and include exciting ones like the Flamethrower and Attack Dogs.
