How to use the Scuba Gas Mask in DMZ

A new type of Gas Mask.

In Call of Duty DMZ, there are several items and equipment that can be used to provide additional support to operators in different situations. The Scuba Gas Mask is a new piece of equipment introduced in Season 5, designed to help you survive longer in the radioactive gas and in water. Naturally, you need to know how to get and use this piece of equipment while exploring different maps in the game. Here's how to use the Scuba Gas Mask in DMZ.

What does the Scuba Gas Mask do in DMZ?

The Scuba Gas Mask is a brand-new item that is essentially a combination of the Rebreather and Durable Gas Mask. This piece of equipment provides protection from radioactive gas and also allows you to breathe underwater for a longer period of time. Maps like Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel have several water bodies where you can use this field upgrade perfectly. As always, you can obtain this item from loot caches, containers, and other areas.

Using the Scuba Gas Mask will also help out when you need to take the last exfil. Running around in the radioactive gas can be fatal if you don't have Gas Masks or Radiation Pills. Likewise, while being chased by opponents, you can jump in the water and hide for longer with this new item. The Scuba Gas Mask will come in clutch during the last few minutes of the game, so make sure to use it wisely.

I'd recommend using this piece of equipment on Vondel first to swim around and get an idea of the rebreather's duration. Likewise, you can test it out at a radioactive site to see the decay rate. If you have a secure backpack, make sure to exfil with a few of these items to share with your friends in the next match.
