The post-credit cutscene in MW2 hinted that the infamous No Russian mission would reappear. Does the game's sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, feature this mission? Let's find out.
Is the No Russian mission in Modern Warfare 3 Campaign?
During the No Russian mission in Modern Warfare 2 2009, Makarov and his men enter a Russian airport with LMGs and kill hundreds of civilians to frame the attack on the West. Modern Warfare 3 2023 doesn't exactly have the No Russian mission, but there is a very similar quest in the story.
Midway through the Modern Warfare 3 Campaign, there's a mission called Passenger in which your character Samara Jalal is traveling in a Russian airliner headed to Sochi. Samara is a former Urzikstan Liberation Force (ULF) member who fought alongside Farah Karim and others. Makarov and his men are also aboard the airplane with a nefarious plan to blow it up mid-air.

One of his soldiers is sitting beside Samara, who asks her to follow orders at gunpoint. I performed a takedown and grabbed the enemy's gun, but soon, others appeared inside the cabin and threw a flashbang. Samara is then taken to the other section, where Makarov straps a bomb vest to her chest. This way, the ultranationalist can orchestrate the bombing's responsibility onto the ULF.
The bomb has a timer to allow Makarov and his men to jump off the plane. Meanwhile, as Samara, you will struggle to reach the cellphone with the timer that an enemy had thrown amidst the panicking crowd inside the cabin. No matter the effort you put in to stop the bomb, it will blow up the plane, killing all the passengers onboard and Samara.
