Treyarch Zombies in Modern Warfare!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is going to be the first game in the saga to feature an integrated Zombies storyline. Treyarch has once again collaborated with Sledgehammer Games to introduce the CoD Zombies experience to the Modern Warfare universe after Vanguard (2021).

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Gameplay Details

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies (MWZ) will be an open-world experience, unlike the original round-based mode you may be familiar with. To put it into perspective, it'll be somewhat similar to the Outbreak mode from Black Ops Cold War (2020). It's going to be a PvE extraction survival game mode that'll supposedly be a replacement for MW2 DMZ.

You can do the usual Zombie-killing and complete missions after deploying onto the map. These missions will probably continue the Dark Aether Zombies story we've been waiting for. Each match will be 60 minutes long, after which players will be forced to exfil. There will also be human threats on the map alongside the undead, as well as other squads of operators whom you can join. Fret not, as you'll see the basic Zombies mechanics, including perks, pack-a-punch, mystery boxes, and more.

What Map will Modern Warfare 3 Zombies be Played On?

Players will get to experience Modern Warfare 3 Zombies on a large-scale map, which hasn't been announced yet. It's being marketed as the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever and will also be the next new map for Warzone. Furthermore, you'll be teleported over to other smaller maps on completing missions and as the story progresses.

How Many Players will there be in a MW3 Zombies Match?

The regular squad size in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies will be six players. However, multiple squads will spawn on the map alongside your team in the same match. Due to this, there can be up to 24 players in a Zombies match in MW3.
