How to get the Tempered Plate Carriers in Warzone 2

Tempered Plate Carriers are rare items that can be found as world loot on Al Mazrah as well as Ashika Island. You should search for this gear mainly inside orange supply boxes and loot hotspots. In Al Mazrah, there is a guaranteed way of obtaining Tempered Plate Carriers and that is by securing Strongholds.

Once these secure facilities are activated in the early game, enter the building and complete whatever objective you're assigned, be it capturing the area or defusing the bomb. After the mission is done, the loot box will drop multiple Tempered Plate Carriers and other valuable gear for your entire squad.

A Tempered Plate Carrier replaces the three small plates with two larger plates, which effectively provides the same amount of damage protection. Its purpose is to improve armor plate efficiency by reducing the number of plates required to fully plate up from three to two. This not just reduces armor plate consumption, but also lowers the time required to use plates significantly. Therefore, it's advisable to always keep an eye out for this gear and equip it when you can.
