Medieval hack-and-slash first-person action game Chivalry was released back in 2021, but recent patches have given it a new lease of life thanks to the promise of cross-platform party play. A beta version of the new system was introduced in Content Update 2.7, with players being advised there could be bugs and issues. However, it seemed to be working OK until the official release of the system in Content Update 2.8 in May 2023. Now players are having fresh issues with inviting friends not working in Chivalry 2. However, there is a fix that is working for some players.
Chivalry 2 party invite friend system fix
While not ideal, the following workaround is currently allowing players to party up together in Chivalry 2:
- Remove each other from your friends' lists on your platform.
- Add your friends back in-game by using the Chivalry 2 code system.
Unfortunately, if you then add your friends back on your console, this will again break the system. This seems to be a problem across the board for PlayStation players and because this was touted as a major part of this content update, and a feature many players had looked forward to, I can’t imagine it will be more than a few days before this issue gets a hotfix patch in another mini update.
Until then, we suggest you stay patient and wait it out. It’s been a couple of years in the making, so while a few more days are frustrating at least we’re nearly there.
