Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is a roguelite RPG where players battle through dungeons called Rifts, smashing through monster hordes before finishing them off with the franchise's signature Coup de Grâce attacks. Each run is shaped by a randomized system of Blessings that reshuffle every stage, ensuring no two playthroughs feel the same.
Vocations are the game's class system, pulled straight from Dragon Quest tradition. There are five in total, each with its own weapon specializations and unique traits that can be further developed through dedicated Vocation trees.
Yes, the game features cooperative quests for up to four players. There are also additional solo modes, including the Gauntlet, which throws endless enemy waves at you, and Shrines, which are dedicated high-difficulty boss encounters.
