Technically, you can customize the appearance of the Lamb, but only the Fleece that they wear. You cannot change the color, form, or variation of the Lamb as you would your Followers. However, the developer, Massive Monster, teased in a Steam Discussion Post that DLC may introduce more options for customizing the Lamb. How to customize the Lamb in Cult of the Lamb

The only method to customize the Lamb in Cult of the Lamb is to unlock new Fleeces. This is done by collecting Holy Talisman Pieces, of which you will need four. Once you assemble the four pieces, head to your temple and select the Crown Upgrades. Here, you can unlock a Fleece. This changes the appearance of your clothing.

Is mod support coming to Cult of the Lamb?

This will depend on the fans of Cult of the Lamb. Many games receive mods after their release that add in new stories, mechanics, cosmetics, and more.
