All Nicolas Cage Perks and Abilities in Dead By Daylight

Will you face off against the killers?

One of the main reasons why I love playing Dead By Daylight is the variety of characters and killers from popular films I can choose to play as. It's always fun to see Leon Kennedy being chased by Freddy Krueger, and that's the kind of mash-up players are used to seeing. Now, with update 7.1.0, one of the most anticipated characters ever is here—none other than Nicolas Cage himself. But does the Hollywood superstar have the skills and tricks to survive? In this guide, I will explain how to use all Nicolas Cage perks and abilities in Dead By Daylight.

All Nicolas Cage perks in Dead By Daylight, explained

Nicolas Cage is a survivor in Dead By Daylight and comes with three unique perks: Dramaturgy, Scene Partner, and Plot Twist. These perks help him stay on the move and are great for players who like to stay close to the killer to confuse them, or to help out their teammates. With that being said, here are all the Nicolas Cage perks in Dead By Daylight and how to use them.

Dramaturgy is an active ability that gives you a momentary speed boost, along with one of four randomly chosen effects. This perk only activates while your Survivor has full health and is running. Once activated, your survivor will run with their knees high for 0.5 seconds, after which they will gain 25% Haste for 2 seconds. You will then gain one of the following effects:

  • The survivor will be exposed for 12 seconds.
  • The survivor gains 25% Haste for an additional 2 seconds.
  • The survivor screams, but nothing happens.
  • The survivor drops any held item and gains a random rare item in hand with random add-ons.

These effects, although random, cannot happen twice in a row. For example, if your survivor was exposed the last time you used this ability, that same effect will not take place the next time you use Dramaturgy.

This is a great perk for when you need that extra speed to gain distance from the killer and make your escape. It almost adds a rogue-like element where you cannot be sure as to what effect you gain. For example, getting exposed for 12 seconds can make it easy for the killer to track you down. However, an additional 2 seconds of Haste, or a random rare item in hand can be of great use.

How to use Scene Partner in DBD

Scene Partner is a perk with a passive ability that exposes the killer's position. To activate this perk, your survivor must be within the killer's Terror Radius. When you look directly at the killer while inside their Terror Radius, your survivor will scream and expose the killer's aura for a few seconds. There is also a small chance for the survivor to let off a secondary scream, which will expose the killer's aura for an additional 2 seconds. This perk has a 60-second cooldown.

This perk is good for exposing the killer's aura, but it comes with a few disadvantages. First, staying in the killer's Terror Radius is risky and can put you in serious danger. Second, the scream will likely alert the killer of your location. Since it activates whenever possible, it can make sneaking around the killer in close quarters a bit of a pain.

How to use Plot Twist DBD

Plot Twist is an active perk that can only be activated when your survivor is injured. Furthermore, you must stay crouched and motionless for the perk to activate. When activated, your survivor will immediately enter the dying state without making any sound or leaving any blood pools. Then, the survivor will fully recover from the dying state by themselves, albeit slowly. After recovering using Plot Twist, the survivor is fully healed and gains 50% Haste for 2, 3, or 4 seconds. This perk deactivates once you recover by any means, and is re-activated again when the exit gates are powered up.

This perk is easily one of the best perks to have in Dead By Daylight. It gives you the ability to fully heal up without requiring any items or the help of a teammate. Although the recovery process takes a bit of time, all you have to do is find a hiding spot and activate Plot Twist. This can be a great perk to use after the exit gates are powered, since you not only recover and gain full health, but you also gain a significant speed boost to make a dash for the exit.
