DBD Chaos Shuffle modifier is so much fun that fans want a permanent mode

Looking out of my window forlornly, waiting for Chaos Shuffle to come back.

There have been a few modifiers in Dead by Daylight so far, but none have been as fun and as engaging as Chaos Shuffle (a perk randomizer). It's no surprise that fans want Behaviour Interactive (BHVR) to make it into a permanent mode.

There are two different types of special events in DBD: modifiers and modes. Modifiers are time-limited events that modify some aspects of the base game (like making the map darker, randomizing the perks, etc.). Modes, on the other hand, completely reorganize the entire game, adding new mechanics and gameplay.

The most anticipated mode in DBD is 2v8, which is supposedly coming to the fog in July. We already know that this mode will be coming back regularly as an event with more upgrades and iterations. However, when it comes to modifiers, they have only been a one-time thing so far.

Honestly, until Chaos Shuffle, none of the other modifiers were as fun. Ever since it was pushed live, I haven't touched normal mode. Of course, I was plenty unlucky with my perk setups, most often getting Survivor perks that are either situational or don't work together at all.

I have also been playing Chaos Shuffle with a disadvantage. Despite playing the game for about six years, I can't remember the icons of perks for the life of me. So when I get four random perks, it absolutely means I won't know what I got and what the perks do (unless I get Adrenaline or one of Bill's perks). And yet, I couldn't stop playing.

A lot of the other members in the community (including my friends and I) agree that this has been one of the best modifiers DBD has put out. It's no surprise, considering that we have all been screaming for a perk randomizer in the game for many years now. I guess now we have to go back to the randomizer wheel; it won't be the same.

Despite any of the previous modifiers not returning as of yet, there is still hope for Chaos Shuffle. It was played by so many people that BHVR extended the duration of the event. Now that it's officially gone, can it come back?

The developers must have noticed the outcry for this mode to become a permanent or at least semi-permanent part of the game on social media. BHVR has shown that they have been listening, so with any luck, they will again and bring back Chaos Shuffle as soon as possible.
