When Does DBD Bone Chill 2025 Release?
DBD's winter event is set to start on December 9, 2025 and will last util January 6, 2026, giving you plenty of time to collect all of the rewards (as well as have lots of scary fun in the snow). Bone Chill 2025 is the fifth iteration of this event. With every new iteration we get some changes to the event itself, so make sure to keep reading to find out what's new and what's familiar. If you notice that the amount of rewards has decreased, don't worry, we've noticed it too.

While the Skins aren't confirmed just yet, trusted leakers have shared a selection of skins that will most likely be available during the event. You can check all that we have spotted so far below:

Free Event Rewards - How to Get Frosty Trinkets
During the DBD winter event, you will be able to acquire special limited items for The Krause and Gabriel through the Event Tome. By completing Tome Quests, you will earn Frosty Trinkets, which you can use to unlock all of the winter-themed skins, badges, banners, and charms.
The Tome has not yet been revealed, so we don't have information on the quests just yet. Make sure you select the quests in the Winter Tome as soon as the event is out so that you can start collecting Frosty Trinkets. I've forgotten many a time to switch to the correct tome and wasted precious matches, so don't be like me!
Daily Login DBD Advent Calendar Rewards
As with every year, just by logging in to Dead by Daylight every day, you will get rewards from the 2025 Advent Calendar. However, as many members of the community have noted, this year we are getting a lot of Bloodpoints, and barely any of the other currencies (only on three days). A cute Charm and some additional Banners could have made it much better.
How to Get All Dead by Daylight Bone Chill 2025 Twitch Drops
Apart from the advent calendar login and event rewards, you can also get freebies through the Bone Chill 2025 Twitch Drops. Make sure to watch Twitch Streams with DBD drops enabled, and you'll get the following:
- 1 hour - 200k Bloodpoints
- 3 hours - Winter Crow Badge
- 6 hours - Holiday Horse Banner
If you haven't had the chance to collect DBD Twitch drops before, here is exactly how you can enable them to get the watch-time rewards. You especially don't want to miss the Maurice Holiday Horse banner.
- Create or Sign in to your Behaviour Account.
- Connect it to your Twitch Account.
- Select the platform you play DBD on.
- Watch select streams on Twitch with DBD drops enabled.
- Claim rewards in-game.
How to Play the Bone Chill Event - Gameplay Mechanics & Features
The Bone Chill event evolves each year, so here's exactly how you will be playing in the snow for the 2025 DBD winter celebration.
| Snowmen | When it comes to Snowmen, the gameplay remains the same. ● Jumping into a Snowman completely silences your movement. ● For Killers, hiding inside a Snowman grants the Undetectable Status Effect. ● Snowmen reduce player speed and visibility. |
| Snowskulls | Another mechanic from previous iterations of Bone Chill. ● Grab them from Snowpiles in Maps. ● You can throw it at either other Survivors or at Killers by using the Event Ability Button ● When you hit a Killer while hiding in a Snowman, the Killer will then become Hindered. ● You can trade Snowskulls at any Snowpile in a match to make a Snowman. |
| Icy Snowskulls | The new mechanic introduced for the Bone Chill 2025 event ● You have to consume four Snowskulls to throw an Icy Snowskull ● Both Survivors and Killers can temporarily freeze pallets in place. When a Pallet is frozen, it can't be dropped. However, if you do freeze a dropped Pallet, then it can't be broken or vaulted. ● Killers can bury Generators under snow, forcing Survivors to clean it before they can repair it, prolonging the trial. |
| Winter Chests & Winter Party Starters | Some Chests in a Trial will spawn as Winter Chests. The will give you: ● A Rare or Very Rare Item ● A Winter Party Starter (which can also be acquired through the Bloodweb) |

You'll be able to participate in the DBD winter celebration Bone Chill event from December 9, 2025 until January 6, 2026.
You can get Frosty Trinkest by completing Tome quests in a Trial. Just make sure to select them before going inside a new Trial.
The Bone Chill event will include several winter maps such as:
