All Destiny 2 Lightfall Missions

Bungie had been building up the hype for Destiny 2's Lightfall expansion with some of the best story-telling the game had seen with Seasons 15 through 19. So when the expansion finally hit, many were keen to see how it stacked up against the last big release, The Witch Queen. One burning question was the length of the campaign.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Campaign Missions

Unlike previous expansions' campaign missions that had Guardians bopping around the system to tackle various challenges, the entirety of Lightfall's campaign takes place en route to or on Neptune. Here's hoping you like the synth wave aesthetic.

• Breakneck
• On the Verge
• No Time Left
• Headlong
• Desperate Measures

With eight main campaign missions, Lightfall and The Witch Queen end up in a tie. However, The Witch Queen's length was padded with filler in-between missions of completing bounties and grinding rep. Lightfall has a much better flow at the cost of feeling leaner in terms of story progression. If nothing else, Lightfall continues the Destiny 2 trend of setting up the next thing coming down the pipeline. However, it could be argued that an expansion should be the next big thing and be treated as such, rather than another stepping stone.
