Can you change appearance in Destiny 2?

Can I change appearance in Destiny 2?

If you are wondering if you can change your character's appearance in Destiny 2, the answer is no. In short, the only time players can customize the physical appearance of their guardians is at the start of the game.

Beyond this point, there are no other ways to edit or change the look of your character. Because of this, we recommend making sure you are happy with the look of your character before you hit finish when creating them.

Luckily, if you have already created your character, you will rarely see them with their helmet or armor off, so at least there's that. You can also change the look of your character's armor in-game, which is the only form of character customization.

To edit the look of your character's armor, you will need to head into the Appearance Subscreen inside the inventory screen. The Appearance Subscreen can be accessed via the button at the bottom of the player's inventory.

Inside this menu, you will be able to change both the look and color of certain armor pieces by heading into the change appearance option

After clicking change appearance, you will then need to click one of your currently equipped armor pieces from a list shown above. Clicking on one of the armor pieces will allow you to change its appearance by changing its ornament using sythweave straps.
