Destiny 2 fans get a fan-made, full-length film from YouTuber My name is Byf

The world of Destiny is a rich and full one, and part of what makes the game so appealing is the world's deeply rooted lore. Every NPC, location, and obtainable item add a piece to the ever-expanding puzzle. With The Witch Queen expansion forthcoming, players may be wondering what the story will be about and who exactly Savathûn is.

Luckily, YouTuber My name is Byf has created a full-length fan film that includes everything there is to know about Savathûn and the Hive. My name is Byf has become one of the most trusted interpreters of Destiny lore ever since he started making in-depth lore breakdowns with the first game. Typically his videos feature his voice over some gameplay footage and images, but with this new film, My name is Byf has partnered with artists and animators to create a fully-fledged movie.

The fan-made film goes into Savathûn's early life and how she and her sisters became the Hive Gods that we know them as today. The pact they made with the worm gods, the creation of the Hive race, and the sister's ascendency into Gods themselves is all included. It then goes into how Savatûn has lied and cheated her way into every major conflict that our Guardians have experienced. However, there were some creative liberties taken in order to tell the story in the best way possible.
