They really put a cap on that cap!

Destiny 2 brings us Season of the Deep and, with it, many questions concerning cap levels. Until now, the power levels have been changing throughout seasons to balance the gameplay experience for players, making an even playing field. Being a die-hard Destiny 2 fan, I couldn't wait to see how the scales of balance shift in the game and how the new Season would affect the power levels in Destiny 2. So, let's dive right in!

What are the new Destiny 2 Season of the Deep Soft Cap, Power Cap, and Pinnacle Cap Levels?

Much to my surprise, Bungie decided to take another route with Season of the Deep Cap levels, deciding to leave them the same as the last Season. This will mean that the players who have reached the peak in their Power will remain stagnant until the next Season hits off in September. Here is the complete list of level caps in Season 21:

  • Power Floor: 1600
  • Soft Cap: 1750
  • Powerful Cap: 1800
  • Pinnacle Cap: 1810

I have come across rumors from multiple sources claiming that adding more farms for exotics and deep-sight stuff this Season is not a coincidence but that the rumored power-level rework is under development. The developers might be gauging what else the community accepts as rewards for weekly variety grinding. What comes out during the later seasons remains to be seen, but I personally find this development intriguing and take it as a sign that things could change soon.
