With Destiny 2 receiving plenty of regular updates, it sees its fair share of bugs and errors. However, a new crafting bug is one of the most game-changing the community has seen in a very long time. I'll tell you all about the crafting bug below.
What is the Destiny 2 weapon mod bug?
The whole point of Destiny 2 is PvP and PvE, which is to say, defeating enemies or other players with powerful weapons that take a long time to grind and unlock. With this bug, players can swap out exotic weapon perks on legendary weapons (such as their framework) by quickly clicking on another weapon while reshaping a different one. This is made easier if you lower your FPS or slow down your internet, thereby giving you a ridiculously overpowered weapon.
When will the Destiny 2 crafting bug be fixed?
While at first Bungie acknowledged this bug, they also mentioned they did not have any plans to disable Trials of Osiris. However, they are disabling the equipping of any crafted weapons while still allowing players to craft weapons and will eventually reset all the "illegal" mods to their default state in the future.
If you loved this bug for the crazy fun it brought to the game, the fun's over for now. I'm hoping Bungie takes some inspiration from letting this happen, but if you hated it, you've got no worries since the developers are doubling down on fixing it one way or another. Let us all hope there are no rollbacks, as they mentioned there wouldn't be any.
With all of this being said, no one knows when this problem will be fully fixed, but players can also rest assured there will be no bans or suspensions issued on any player accounts for taking any advantage of this glitch.
