Apart from the Face of Justice, one of the most challenging Prismatic Fragments to obtain in Destiny 2 Final Shape is the Facet of Command. If you don't know how to get this Fragment or the location of the Divided Prismatic Chest, here is a dedicated guide explaining the entire process.
Where is the Divided Prismatic Chest in Destiny 2? (Map Location)
Like most fragments, the Facet of Command fragment is locked inside a Divided Prismatic Chest, located inside a bunker-like area in the Divide POI west of the Impasse Landmark. Use the above map image to figure out exactly where you need to be heading. I recommend landing at the Impasse and traveling on foot or using your Sparrow to get there a little bit faster.
How to solve the Divided Prismatic Key puzzle in Destiny 2
To open the Divided Prismatic chest, you need to get the Divided Prismatic Key. This requires you to solve a small puzzle that revolves around charging up a reactor using Charge and defeating the Subjugator of Control mini-boss.
First, look at the chest and turn 180° to find a small broken grid-like wall. Jump inside to find a machine that spawns a scorch cannon. Interact with it to get the cannon, which you can use to blow up all the frozen parts in the same room, as shown in the image.
After shooting for a while, you will acquire a Regular, Void, or Solar Arc Charge randomly from these ice cubes. Collect and deposit the charge inside the Arc Reactor in the same room. It needs precisely 10 bars of power to fill it, and you can see the exact Charge provided by each element below.
- Void: 4 Charges
- Solar: 3 Charges
- Arc: 2 Charges
You would need 2 Void and 1 Arc for a single reactor and 2 Arc and 2 Solar for the other reactor that can be found right next to the first one. The specific combination of charges that you use for each reactor doesn't matter, as long as the charges you deposit reach that magic number 10.
Now, pick up your old scorch cannon or spawn a new one from the same machine and head outside the room to find the entire bunker frozen. Keep breaking these ice cubes found down various corridors and rooms on the same floor to get these charges. Fill both the reactors with 10 charges to finish the first part of the puzzle.
After filling up both the Arc Reactors, the Divided Prismatic Boss called Subjugator of Control will spawn at the center. This is a straightforward boss fight. Just spam your weapons and abilities to quickly whittle down his health. In addition, use the various objects around the bunker and peak shoot when required. I used a Sunshot, Apex Predator, and Call weapons to complete the entire fight as a Warlock.
Once he dies, he will drop the Divided Prismatic Key that can be used to open the chest to get the Facet of Command in Destiny 2.
How does Facet of Command work in Destiny 2
The Facet of Command is an interesting Prismatic in Destiny 2 that provides two unique perks to the player. Firstly, freezing or suppressing any enemy will reload all your current weapons and increase your weapon stability, aim-assist, and airborne effectiveness of your character. Also, defeating any frozen or suppressed opponent will create a Stasis Shard or Void Breach. The Shard will restore your melee energy, while the Void will grant class ability energy. This means it is best paired with freezing and suppressing abilities in the game. I have listed all the abilities that provide the above effect in some ways.
Freezing
- Silence and Squill
- Hailfire Spike
- Withering Blade
- Duskfield Grenade
Suppression
- Shadowshot Deadfall
- Snare Bomb
