Throw that bone.

Diablo 4 Season 1 is here, and with many players starting their characters over to get a piece of the action, Necromancer has become a popular pick. There are a lot of different ways to play the class, but one build reigns supreme.

Best Diablo 4 Season 1 Necromancer Build

If you're looking to play the most optimal build in Diablo 4 Season 1, then going the Bone Spear route is best if you're a Necromancer. There are other viable ways to play the class, whether that's focusing on summoning or Corpse Explosion, but Bone Spear outshines it all.

Bone Spear is just a powerful ability that allows you to clear enemies with ease, and it's actually the best build to go for while leveling as well. It does suffer from not having the right gear pieces in place, but it's still more powerful than the rest of the options.

Diablo 4 Season 1 Necro Build (Bone Spear)

Bone Spear is the main ability here, but you'll need to fill out hotbar with other abilities to complement it. You'll need an Essence generator ability, and Bone Splinters is the one that works best here. Pairing it with the Aspect of Exposed Flesh is optimal during endgame, but you don't have to worry about that while leveling. Here's how the rest of the build shakes out.

  • Bone Spear
  • Bone Splinters
  • Bone Storm
  • Blood Mist
  • Corpse Tendrils
  • Decrepify

A lot of this can come due to personal preference, but there's a good reasons we chose what we chose. Blood Mist gives a three-second immunity to damage, making it one of the best tools in the Necromancer's arsenal. Bone Storm deals damage to enemies all around you, and you can grab the modifier that reduces damage taken to yourself. Corpse Tendrils is a strong stun, and Decrepify can help you get out of sticky situations. You can get a more detailed look at the build if you need additional help leveling.
