Live-service games and error codes seem to go hand-in-hand, given that they require an internet connection to play; it's just par for the course. Diablo IV is no different, with players running into various error codes across the Open Beta weekend. Here's how to fix Error Code 316703 when trying to explore Sanctuary with friends.
Diablo 4 "selected party member was not found" Error Code 316703 fix
This particular Diablo 4 error code appears when trying to play with others in the ARPG's co-op mode and someone in your group disconnects. Upon loading back in, they're faced with Error Code 316703 and can't rejoin the server or their party.
The solution is a simple one: you need to restart your Diablo 4 client. Unfortunately, there's no way to solve the issue in-game because it's server-side, and you need to reboot to refresh the connection. Unfortunately, this may mean that you face queue times of up to an hour while everyone's rushing to get into the Open Beta weekend.
If the error persists, you may have to play solo this weekend unless Blizzard is able to identify and fix the cause on their end and wait until June 6, 2023, when the game fully releases to play with your friends.
