Diablo 4 is a stunning game. Despite being from an isometric perspective, you can just tell that a lot of time and effort that went into making the game look amazing. Personally, I like to take screenshots of the sights I see in my games, and Diablo 4 is no exception. However, the UI, as nice and simplistic as it is for playing, is rather intrusive for screenshots. Most games, these days, have a way to hide the UI for such a thing. Does Diablo 4 have one though?
Can you hide your HUD or UI in Diablo IV?
Surprisingly, it seems the answer is no. Despite being a 2023 video game, made by a company that operates a super successful MMORPG where you can hide the UI with the press of a button, you cannot do so in Diablo 4. In my opinion, this is a really strange omission, but I do suspect that the outcry for such a simple feature will eventually result in Blizzard adding it in. If I had to guess, it will happen once Season 1 begins, or perhaps a bit of time into it. I just can't see this being a long-time problem.
No. It isn't a huge deal to not be able to hide your UI right this very moment. Making sure Diablo 4 is stable and balanced is infinitely more important for Blizzard. Still, is it too much to ask for a photo mode at least? Maybe that will come in the near future as well. Diablo 4 is a live-service title, so it's not unreasonable to suspect so. For now, get used to taking screenshots with the giant UI. I'll update you here once we get some news on this.
