Dinkum allows players to partake in several activities across the island. While farming, hunting, and fishing are good ways to earn money, other activities such as mining and metal detecting can make you rich quickly if you luckily get your hands on some rare items. Here's a guide on how to obtain and sell Amber Chunks in Dinkum.
How to get Amber Chunks in Dinkum
Amber Chunks are golden rocks that rarely spawn across the island of Dinkum. Follow the steps below on how to get these valuable rocks in the game:
- Get a Metal Detecting License from Fletch. It costs 500 Permit Points, an in-game currency you can obtain by completing Milestones mentioned within your journal.
- Purchase a Metal Detector from John's shop for 6,000 Dinks.
- Now all you have to do to find Amber Chunks is just use your Metal Detector to hunt for resources in random places. If you find anything on the equipment, dig that site and grab whatever's in there.

How to sell Amber Chunks in Dinkum
As Amber Chunks are extremely valuable items in Dinkum, they are extremely hard to come across. Regardless, if you have found one of these rocks, you can sell it to John, the shopkeeper. Simply carry the Amber Chunk on your head and place it on the weighing scale inside John's shop. He will mention the value of the rock based on its weight, and then you can decide to sell it or keep it.
To give you a rough idea, three kilograms of Amber Chunk will get you over 42,000 Dinks. Instead, you can also process the Amber Chunk in a Stone Grinder to get ores and other valuable items. The Stone Grinder machine costs 10,000 Dinks and can be purchased from John's store to refine items such as Shiny Stones, Amber Chunks, and more.
