Where to find a Here and There Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike other fish in the game that appear in a set biome, the Here and There Fish is much more elusive as you can catch it anywhere you can use a fishing rod in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It isn't just a case of fishing once and netting it; it is extremely rare.

You must have completed Nala's level 10 Friendship Quest to unlock the ability to catch it, and it also only appears in the morning or evening; you cannot catch it during the day or at night.

How to increase odds of catching a Here and There Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Though the fish is hard to find, there are ways to increase your odds of catching a Here and There Fish in DDV, as follows:

  • Using the Miracle Fishing Bait or the Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait.
  • Eating a hearty meal to gain the Well-Fed bonus.

The Miracle Fishing Bait is an enchantment applied to your fishing rod. It makes fish easier to catch and turns the next 10 white ripples in the water into gold ones for the highest chance of getting rare catches. The upgraded version, Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait, has the same effect, except it increases the white-to-gold ripple amount to 25.

To get your hands on Miracle Fishing Bait, you must craft it at a crafting bench using 500 Dreamlight, x5 Red Algae, and x10 Vitalys Crystal. To craft the Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait, you need 1,000 Dreamlight, x10 Red Algae, and x20 Vitalys Crystal.

The Miracle Fishing Bait and Even More Miraculous Fishing Bair crafting recipes are obtained upon completing the Working Miracles main story quest Merlin gave you.

How to get the Well-Fed bonus in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To activate the Well-Fed bonus in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must eat a cooked meal you've prepared yourself on a stove or gained as a reward from a quest and fill your Energy bar beyond its means until it turns to gold.

Each meal has its own Energy stat, which lets you know how much it will fill your bar. One and two-star meals will increase Energy the least, whereas three, four, and five-star meals will give a significant boost. For a list of the best Energy-yielding meals, check out our easiest Energy restoring dishes to cook in Disney Dreamlight Valley guide.

When your Energy bar is gold, you'll get a significant movement speed increase and buff to Critical Results when fishing, picking fruits, mining, and more—AKA, a higher chance of getting rare drops.
