How to enter DreamSnaps challenge in Disney Dreamlight Valley

When the DreamSnaps update rolled out, I was so excited to meet Vanellope, as well as a new way to earn more Moonstones and other rewards. Moonstones are extremely valuable, as they're used to purchase special items in the Premium Shop or collect rewards faster in your Star Path. Here's how you can compete in fun challenges each week and earn free rewards!

How to compete in DreamSnaps challenges in Dreamlight Valley

DreamSnaps challenges will change themes every Wednesday, allowing you to participate in outfit contests, decorations, and more. To start competing, you must first complete Vanellope's welcoming quest and complete the DreamSnaps tutorial steps. You can find out the theme and details for the week's challenge by opening your menu and checking under the Event DreamSnaps tabs.

Here it will explain the theme and what kind of contest it is. For the challenge shown above, players have to dress up in their best Ball attire. You'll see the Suggested and Mandatory items needed shown here. While Suggested items will probably better your chances of receiving more votes, all you really need to follow are the Mandatory requirements.

After checking out the theme, you can get to creating your photo. Dress up or decorate according to the theme. You can do this more easily by using the filters in your Wardrobe or Furniture menus. This will allow you to narrow down your available items that fit into those themes.

Then, open your camera and do your best pose. Once you capture an image, press the RT button on your controller to check and see if you met all the requirements in the top left corner. If you have, you will be able to submit your photo by pressing the Y button on your controller. Once your photo is submitted, all you have to do is wait for voting to finish, which will take several days.

How to win rewards in DreamSnaps challenges in Dreamlight Valley

In the DreamSnaps menu, you'll notice there is also a Reward always available for competing in the challenge. You can win all sorts of goodies if you manage to get a lot of votes, such as clothing, furniture, and Moonstones. Rewards like this are sent to your mailbox after the voting period has ended, so keep an eye out for them.

You can also earn some Moonstones just for participating in challenges, specifically for voting for other players' entries in the challenge. You can earn 50 to 300 minimum Moonstones just for taking part each week.

How to vote in DreamSnaps challenges in Dreamlight Valley

Voting determines which players win greater prizes in the challenge. You will also earn some Moonstones for yourself by doing so. To vote, you'll navigate to the DreamSnaps menu and select the Voting tab underneath it on the left side. Then, press A on your console controller, and you'll be able to select which of the images you prefer for the theme. Voting will extend all the way to the following Wednesday, and then players will receive their rewards via mail.
