The tree stumps scattered around the Forest of Valor can be removed and give you lots of wood in the process, but you'll need an upgraded Royal Shovel. Here's how you can do that.

How to get rid of tree stumps in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Getting rid of the tree stumps requires you to upgrade your shovel, and upgrading your shovel requires you to have Anna in your Valley and complete her level two Friendship quest, "An Icy Invitation." You can raise friendship levels quickly by gifting her some of the favorite items of the day or simply having a Daily Discussion with her.

Once you start the quest, Anna will have you complete a few different steps to upgrade your Royal Shovel and allow you to clear the blockage in the Forest of Valor. After speaking with her about the blockage, you'll need to fetch a book from the desk in her house. With this book, she'll give you the recipe for the shovel upgrade, which will require the following materials:

  • Softwood x10
  • Hardwood x4
  • Iron Ingots x4 (crafted from 20 Iron Ore and four Coal Ore)
  • Tinkering Parts x3 (crafted from six Iron Ingots)

Use these to craft the Shovel Blade at the closest Crafting Station. Then open your Inventory, click on the Shovel Blade, and select Use. Congrats! Your shovel is improved. Use it to remove the tree stumps blocking the bridge in the Forest of Valor, then talk to Anna.

After completing the quest, you will now have an upgraded Royal Shovel that will allow you to break the tree stumps whenever you like. It's not only essential to opening up the whole Forest of Valor biome but also allows you to harvest wood much faster.
