The Hoe is the first tool you'll come across when you arrive at Octopia. You'll see a fish statue holding it at the location pictured above, and you can grab it right after speaking to Solomon and before heading across the bridge to your farm.

The Hoe can be used to plow the ground where you can plant seeds. It's essential for the first step of planting and growing crops to sell or use in recipes.

The Watering Can is another easy tool to come across, and that's because it's sitting just off to the right side of the farm in the small gated section. Grabbing it off the stool here will trigger Yuuyu to take its place, a handy tips ghost.

The Watering Can is used to water your crops after planting them. They will not grow unless water, so be sure to do so every time so you can harvest the next day.

The Harvesting Gloves are a bit further away and out of immediate view compared to the previous tool. To find it, head down from your farm across the bridge. The Gloves are on another fish statue toward the center of this island.

The Harvesting Gloves are used to pick up different items, including crops, once they are done growing on your farm. However, besides crops, you can also pick up sticks and rocks off the ground, such as the ones littered on the field.

Where to find the Fishing Pole in Eastward Octopia

The Fishing Pole is easy to see as you make your way to your farm, but getting to it is more of a challenge. You can head down from your farm and across the river to this gated area. However, the gated area is blocked by some stones, which you'll need the Axe to remove.

The Fishing Pole is used to fish in different ponds and water around Octopia. Fishing is a great way to get fish to cook or sell, making the Pole a valuable tool to have.

The Axe is the most accessible tool to get because despite it not being on the map to find, you obtain it just by following the storyline. When the mysterious new people arrive on Octopia, head over to speak to them about the Trading Post in the same spot you retrieved the Hoe, and they will give you the Axe!

The Axe is by far one of the most essential tools to have. Unlike other farming games, the Axe can break trees and stone, allowing you to collect the materials and unblock previously blocked areas, like the path to the Fishing Pole.

These are all the essential tools you'll need to start your farming adventure. Use them to start planting, chopping trees, and collecting materials. You'll be thriving in no time!
