The vast and picturesque world of Elden Ring spreads far and wide, and you will have to explore the map more to unlock every area. Players start with a blank map after reaching the first Site Of Grace. Discovering new map fragments unlock various areas of the Lands Between.Â
Elden Ring's map is spread across five primary zones. The following list features the five zones players will come across:

- Limgrave
- Liurnia
- Caelid
- Altus Plateau
- Mountaintops of the Giants
These zones are further subdivided into 14 smaller regions. Each of the smaller locations in the following list can be unlocked by acquiring map fragments.
- Limgrave East
- Limgrave WestÂ
- Liurnia North
- Liurnia East
- Liurnia West
- Dragonbarrow
- Caelid
- Mount Gelmir
- Siofra River
- Weeping Peninsula
- Lyndell Royal Capital
- Altus Plateau
- East Mountaintops of the Giants
- West Mountaintops of the Giants
All of these locations will be available to players as they eventually progress through the game by defeating bosses. You will find numerous Sites Of Grace around these regions, and it's best to activate them upon discovery to fast travel to that location later.
