How to beat The Elden Beast in Elden Ring

The beast is here!

The Elden Beast is the final boss in Elden Ring. It is the true form of the Elden Ring, acting as the vassal of the greater will. You can find it in the Elden Throne. This boss is not optional, as it is the game's final fight, appearing immediately upon defeating Radagon of the Golden Order.

Best way to defeat the Elden Beast in Elden Ring

Being the final boss in Elden Ring, the Elden Beast is a great final challenge. This boss will start relatively slowly, blending multi-attack sword combos and spells. Once the boss has lost enough health, it will start adding more variety to its moves, dealing AoE damage, and moving around the battlefield quickly.

Melee users

Melee users will have either an easy or difficult time with this boss, depending on their build. Sword and Shield players have a bit more breathing room with the ability to block some of the damage. Dual Wielders or Great Weapon users will have to be more cautious and time their rolls well to avoid the AoE damage.

If you are running melee, we recommend sticking close as often as you can and landing short combos between the sword swipes. He will perform AOE attacks without much warning, and they can be devastating.

Ranged and Magic users

This fight will be a piece of cake for ranged and magic users. Keep your distance and fire away. His only real threat to you will be his dive, flight, and AOE attacks. Once his combos start expanding, he will try to trap you in a giant ring of light, this will be instant death for most squishy players. The Elden Beast is heavily resistant to all holy damage, so be sure to change up your spell list before the fight.

General Tips

  • Bring some form of holy damage defense.
  • The Mimic Tear spirit ashes are extremely helpful in this fight.
  • The glowing spot on its chest takes additional damage.
  • Staying behind it is the best way to avoid damage.
