After traveling to Mistwood in the Eastern area of Limgrave, you will start to hear howling in the forest. After hearing the howling, return to The Church of Elleh and speak to the first trader. They will give you the Finger Snap Emote to call on the wolf. This is the first step to finding the wolf howling in Mistwood.
After getting the Finger Snap Emote, travel to the Mistwood Ruins and use the emote. A large half-wolf will appear and is available to speak to. The wolf turns out to be Blaidd, a friendly NPC that gives you a quest to find and kill Bloodknight Darriwil.
Finding Blaidd in the Mistwood Ruins can be a little confusing, especially since there is a Rune Bear sleeping in the middle of the Ruins. When Blaidd appears, he will emit a growling sound that can help you locate him.
Where to find Bloodknight Darriwil
Bloodknight Darriwil can be found in the Forlon Hound Evergaol located in Southern Limgrave. Blaidd can be summoned to help in this fight, but you must exhaust his dialogue to enable his summoning sign within the Forlon Hound Evergaol. After entering the Evergaol, his gold summoning signs should appear close to the portal. After defeating Darriwil, return from the Evergaol and speak to Blaidd, who is standing nearby.
Defeating Darriwil rewards 1900 Runes and Bloodhound's Fang Greatsword. Blaidd will give you a somber Smithing Stone and access to a new blacksmith in Raya Lucaria.
