How to unlock more Memory Slots in Elden Ring

How do you get more Memory Slots?

In Elden Ring, Memory Slots play an extremely important role for players who primarily rely on magic in combat. Memory Slots determine how many spells players can have equipped. This may not seem like a big deal, but having multiple spells can make magic-wielders more versatile and can allow them to have different spells for different situations.

Some of the more powerful spells in the game, like Comet Azur, actually take up multiple memory slots independently. This is why it is important for magic players to have as many Memory Slots as possible

Where to find Memory Stones

There are eight Memory Stones to find in the Lands Between.

  • Acquired from the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold for 3000 Runes.
    • Players must have defeated Godrick the Grafted and restored the rune before it's available.
  • Dropped after killing Red Wolf of Radagon in Raya Lucaria Academy.
  • Looted from a chest on the top floor of Tetsu's Rise in Northern Liurnia.
    • The tower is located just to the north of Raya Lucaria Academy.
    • Players must defeat three wise beats before entering.
  • Looted from a chest on the top floor of Seluvis's Rose in the Three sister sub-region northwest of Liurnia.
    • You have to make it through Caria Manor to reach this area.
    • It can only be entered after speaking to Ranni and accepting her quest.
  • Dropped after killing Demi-Human Queen Maggie northeast of Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir.
  • Looted from a chest on the top floor of Lenne's Rise in the East region of Caelid.
    • Lenne's Rise is located southwest of the Bestial Sanctum across the bridge.
      • Use Torrent and the Spiritsping hidden nearby and leap up to the tower's upper section.
  • Looted from a chest on the top floor of Oridys's Rise in the southeast region of Weeping Penisula.
    • Oridys's Rise is located on the southern island of Weeping Penisula. Southeast from the bridge you cross.
    • You must defeat the three ghostly turtles to enter.
  • Looted from a chest on the top floor of the Converted Tower in western Liurnia.
    • The Converted Tower is located southeast of the Elder Tree.
    • There are two ways to enter the tower:
      • Use Torrent, climb up the tower's wall, and hop onto the balcony.
      • Use the Erudition Gesture in front of the statue, acquired by completing Thop's questline.

A player's number of Memory Slots can be increased by finding Memory Stones. For each Memory Stone a player possesses, they will gain one Memory Slot. You can obtain memory Stones in several ways. Useful items are always difficult to come across in Elden Ring, and Memory Stones are no different.
