Best Assault Exosuits in Exoprimal

Deadeye a: S-Tier

If you thought the base Deadeye suit was good enough, then think again. Deadeye Alpha is at the top of the list for me when it comes to assault suits because, like the base, he is an all-around balanced suit, but this time, he is equipped with two weapon types: his usual AR and more explosive choices. This flexibility allows him to focus on targets at any range and deal some damage as he is expected.

Barrage a: S-Tier

Originally I thought that Barrage wasn't a reliable enough suit, but I quickly changed my mind with these new variants. Barrage Alpha can be an ace for the team with his rocket launcher and chargeable explosives that deal massive damage to multiple enemies at once if placed correctly. While it does take more skill to place him than perhaps some of the others, his damage is undeniable.

Deadeye: A-Tier

Deadeye is a perfectly balanced soldier with constant firepower and sprinting techniques that allow you to get around the battlefield quickly and take down enemies at a steady pace. He can easily sit back behind your tank and mow down enemies with no overheating or major reload delay, making him one of the best Assault options.

Vigilant a: A-Tier

Vigilant Alpha is definitely a step up from the base Vigilant suit for me, and that is because she is now equipped with a semi-auto rifle, allowing for a higher rate of fire and faster-paced shooting. She can stand in precarious situations, especially if enemy players rush her. However, she still takes a lot of skill to play and needs some extra support to be truly effective.

Barrage: A-Tier

Explosives mean big damage, which is what makes Barrage a powerful unit. Aim true and you'll be taking players out left and right, but Barrage may just be one of the trickiest characters to get down out of the Assault suits. You'll need to be precise with his crossbow shots and detonate at the right time to max out his damage correctly.

Barrage b: A-Tier

Barrage Beta belongs right next to the base Barrage when it comes to the rankings, and that's because he can provide all the same advantages. Instead of a crossbow with explosives, he wields a flamethrower that does fire damage. You're sacrificing just a bit of that precision for an equally ranged flamethrower.

Deadeye b: B-Tier

Deadeye Beta is equipped with an energy machine gun, which, don't get me wrong, provides plenty of firepower and speed, but with these advantages, it also becomes a slight weakness to this well-balanced suit. One of the things that makes Deadeye such a great assault suit is his range and precision. Unfortunately, a machine gun takes away from those two things, which is why this suit is middle ground compared to the others.

Vigilant: B-Tier

Vigilant is a sniper, which means precision is key. However, it also means major damage if you hit your shots directly. She is a trusty Assault figure, sitting back and taking down enemies from above. However, chances are she will work a bit slower than Deadeye to do so, which is why it's probably a good idea to only play Vigilant when paired with another fast-firing Assault.

Zephyr a: B-Tier

Zephyr Alpha is still just a mediocre assault suit when it comes down to it. The main reason for that is that he's one of the more difficult suits to get the hang of, and if you aren't well-practiced, he's going to be pretty much useless. This variant of Zephyr boosts up to B-Tier because it gives him a little bit of added range. His chakrams allow him to slice enemies from afar and stay a bit closer to supporting allies.

Zephyr: C-Tier

Zephyr is the speedy swordsman of the Assault Exosuits, and while this means some fun up-close-and-personal combat, it can also mean more risky behavior. Zephyr is more than capable of providing damage with his slices and swings, but he will require a diligent healer to watch his back while he puts himself into danger more often than other Assault suits.

Best Tank Exosuits in Exoprimal

Krieger a: S-Tier

Krieger's base suit had one major flaw, and that was his overheating minigun. However, this variant, Krieger Alpha, replaces that minigun with a shotgun instead. This shotgun has multiple firing modes and is chargeable, allowing him to suppress multiple enemies at one time. This change definitely makes Krieger more valuable to the team and places him as the best tank to play right now.

Krieger: A-Tier

Unlike Roadblock, Krieger is a high-damaging-focused Suit. His minigun allows accelerated firepower that can quickly mow down enemies, while his larger range defensive field deploys in an area, protecting your allies at a greater radius. His one major flaw is overheating, which can temporarily delay his attacks and potentially endanger your teammates. Before, I thought this flaw made him less valuable than Roadblock, but my opinion has definitely changed, keeping him middle-tiered since he can still provide so much coverage for your team, making him more useful than Roadblock.

Roadblock: B-Tier

As a Tank, damage is not always a top priority. Rather, your goal is to draw enemy fire so you can set up your team for the advantage, which is why Roadblock is decent for the job. His large shield allows you to block incoming fire, and his taunt draws enemies close, protecting your allies and creating the perfect moment for them to strike. Plus, your Shield Blast and Haymaker moves will knock back approaching enemies and deal some decent damage, but other than providing defense, Roadblock can't offer much more without putting himself and his teammates in jeopardy.

Roadblock b: B-Tier

Roadblock Beta is pretty much the same as the base unit in terms of usefulness. He still is better geared for protecting your team and shielding them from damage. However, this variant is capable of performing counterattacks with his shield, clearing out paths as necessary. This can come in handy in certain situations but will need to be time correctly or can be more detrimental than helpful.

Murasame: C-Tier

Mursame is a close-range Tank Suit, wielding a mighty katana. He is the fastest of the Tanks, dashing and spinning around the enemies with quick, precise movements. While this could come in handy for distracting enemies and keeping them back from the others, his defensive techniques—such as his block—are also the smallest out of the Tank units. He might have a harder time deflecting shots than the other choices, and if you don't have the perfect team comp, it probably isn't the best option.

Mursame a: C-Tier

Unfortunately, I found Mursame Alpha to be just about as mediocre as the base suit as a tank. In terms of what's different about him, his katana now provides freezing that can slow and counter enemies. This can be a handy new skill, but when it comes to protecting your team, it doesn't really do the trick like Roadblock and Krieger can.

Best Support Exosuits in Exoprimal

Nimbus: S-Tier

Nimbus is one of my very favorite Support Suits to play, and that is due to her speed and teleportation. She can provide damage and healing in a battle, switching back and forth as needed, which is one of the reasons she is such an asset. She can dish out heals in rapid procession with her dual pistols and even deal some damage if need be, which is why I think she's the best support to use right now.

Nimbus a: S-Tier

Nimbus Alpha is just as valuable as the base suit, providing rapid heals and speedy revives that will keep the team going. This variant even replaces the two pistols with two types of shotguns, allowing her to deal with more effective shots from close-range enemies. This means she can protect herself from any enemies targeting her and continue to support her team with damage as well as heals.

Witchdoctor a: A-Tier

Witchdoctor is already a balanced support suit. However, this Alpha variant allows him to heal and harm using his beam, becoming especially useful when enemies and allies are grouped close together. However, this skill isn't quite as effective as Nimbus' damage is, and he still performs better at focusing heals, so this variant is equal to its base in terms of usefulness.

Witchdoctor: A-Tier

Out of all the options, Witchdoctor's heals are the most handy for healing multiple allies at once, thanks to his AoE healing circle. If you don't have Nimbus, then Witchdoctor will definitely do the trick as a well-balanced healer. However, his regular attacks are under-par compared to Nimbus, and he doesn't have the mobility and speed that Nimbus can provide.

Skywave a: B-Tier

Skywave is definitely one of the lackluster support choices. Although she has some handy skills, she can propel up into the air away from danger and blast out healing to all allies at once. However, her healing is lacking compared to Nimbus and Witchdoctor. The only reason Skywave Alpha makes B-Tier is that she can actually provide something more than just occasional stuns and slow healing splashes. This variant can deal some decent damage with a thunderclap, which damages enemies in an AoE, allowing her to support the team with crowd control and healing.

Skywave: C-Tier

Skywave has some useful skills, like her little tornado that traps smaller enemies, and her splash heals that can heal all allies at once while also damaging enemies. However, you'll need the right Assault and Tank combo with her to get the best results. Her heals can be a bit slower than the rest and require some more precision with their splash radius, which is why I feel she falls to the end of the list here.

Skywave b: C-Tier

Skywave Beta isn't much more valuable than the base Skywave suit. The only difference is that it can provide some extra protective barriers to protect allies. These can come in handy in certain situations but are pretty much useless unless performed precisely. Besides that, she remains the same and lacks the finesse that Nimbus and Witchdoctor have.
