Dolls are creepy enough on their own before one is made based on the player and hidden somewhere. Players of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will need to find their own effigy made by Shiragiku hidden in a house full of dolls. Here's how players can maneuver this area and find the doll quickly.

How to start looking for the Effigy
After Shiragiku's cutscene, players will need to start following the breadcrumbs of clues. However, they can't get too caught up in their scenery, as it can easily lead players into a dangerous area without warning.
- Take a psychic photograph of the Doll Shrine
- Use the image shown to match one of the girls hanging in the garden.
- Leave the room through the doors to the left
- Take a photo of the ghost in the hallway
- Head through the double doors
- Go through the second set of double doors to go out onto the veranda.
Where to look for the Effigy
- Follow the hallway of the Rear Garden Veranda out into the room with the pool.
- Photograph the masked man
- Head through the door on the left
- Follow the hall
- Go through the door at the end of the hall
- Exit out into the garden through the door on the right
Out in the garden, players need to create a replica of the image they were shown in the Doll Shrine psychic photo. To do this, players will need to focus on the first tree to their left in the garden. Focus the Camera Obscura until a small focal point pops up. Lock onto the point and take the photo. After this, the effigy will fall into the bushes.
