Final Fantasy XVI is the exciting follow-up to Final Fantasy XV. It features a new world, story, characters, combat, and mechanics, shaking things up as new Final Fantasy titles do. One new mechanic is the Eikon system, which may leave you wondering what Eikons are in Final Fantasy XVI.

Eikons are the new term for Summons in Final Fantasy XVI. Summons are potent abilities that cool form powerful beings, such as Ifrit, Shiva, and Bahamut. Despite their power, they cannot manifest without a Dominant to call them forth. This forms a bond between Eikon and Dominant and will play a large role in Final Fantasy XVI.
