There are five classes, and each of these plays a different way. The fundamentals are the same, but each one has a passive trait and abilities they can use in-game. You should give each one a try before deciding on a favorite, but you can see these below.

Warrior

The warrior excels at close-quarter combat and uses a sword to defeat foes. This pairs nicely with the warrior's abilities which involve closing the distance between you and your opponent. The warrior also creates a barrier when using their rush ability. The warrior will regain hit points upon defeating an enemy with a melee attack. You should pick this class if you prefer getting up close and personal or carrying a big sword.

Sorcerer

The sorcerer is an expert at using materia and getting the most benefits from it. Upgrading the sorcerer's melee weapon will increase the damage of materia and increase the MP recovery rate. They can further increase this recovery speed with their ability. Lastly, the sorcerer has an increased chance to deal with a critical hit, inflicting massive damage. You should pick this class if you prefer to play magic-based classes.

Ninja

The ninja is a mid-range fighter who excels at maneuverability and even performs a double jump. The ninja also excels at stealth and can use their ability to hide, though they will be unable to attack or use items. When things get hairy, the ninja receives increased movement speed when receiving damage. You should pick this class if you prefer playing stealthy or getting in and out of combat.

Monk

The monk is a hand-to-hand combatant that also has some support abilities. Once during a match, when the monk's health is reduced to 20 percent or less, all of their melee attacks become critical hits. They can also use their ability to create a manawall to protect themselves. Upon striking with melee attacks, the monk recovers a portion of the damage they inflict. You should pick this class if you prefer to get in your opponent's faces while having some endurance.

Ranger

The ranger is a long-range gunman-style class. They have increased inventory space for ammunition, and their reload time is decreased by 20 percent. The ranger can use their ability to assess other players, monsters, blizzard effects, and gravity effects on the map. Finally, if the ranger trains their scope on an enemy for a short amount of them, they will mark them and can follow their location. If you prefer to sit back and tactically shoot your enemies, you should pick this class.
